Covid-19 Mauritius: While the island is under locked down, more TV channels for confined subscribers

As of 6 am this morning, the Mauritian nation has been in containment, a decision taken by the prime minister on 19th march in order to prevent the spread of the virus.

In order to help Mauritians cope with this situation, Mauritius Telecom (MT) offers a series of exceptional measures. This is what emerged from a press release from MT.

Thus, all the channels of My.T, which comprise over 100 channels will be free from Friday 20 Mar. 20 afternoon for a period of one month.

Moreover, the Internet connection for each My.T Home broadband offer will be exceptionally doubled to allow the connection of several devices on the broadband connection.

Regarding subscribers disconnected on March 18 for non-payment will be exceptionally reconnected at no cost during the confinement period.

Understanding the delicate situation, the country is currently in, the company has also decided that no penalty or disconnection will be applied in the event of late payment until further notice.

As a reminder, the number of cases has reached up to 12 on the island.
