A Georgia driver has miraculously survived a terrifying crash with a log truck after his car was impaled by logs from the front windshield to the back window.
The crash took place in Whitfield County on Cleveland Highway, while the driver apparently leaned down to get something he dropped and consequently drove into the back of a log truck.
According to Whitfield County Fire Chief Edward O’Brien, the driver made it out alive with only minor injuries.
The department shared photos of the crash with a log truck scene on its Facebook page.
“Firefighters had to cut through 30 to 40 logs with chainsaws before they could even start to cut open the car and rescue the man,” O’Brein explained.
Afterwards, rescuers took only about 15 minutes to get the lucky driver out of the car.
“Because the driver was not in the upright position in his seat, his head ended up in a gap between the logs,” O’Brien told CNN.
“It was as if it was almost created just for his head,” he said.
