i for India, a fundraiser concert was held this Sunday 3rd May 2020 to benefit the actual pandemic relief. Many well-known celebrities such as Nick Jonas and his wife Priyanka Chopra, and Will Smith have joined hands together to support this project. Will Smith added that “India holds a really warm and special spot in my heart”. He encouraged each and everyone to donate to benefit the whole of humanity.
According to the organisers, this fundraiser concert has been set up to raise funds for the India Covid Response. In her Instagram post, Priyanka Chopra highlights “100% of proceeds go to the India COVID Response Fund set up by the @give_india”.
This concert presents itself as India’s greatest masterpiece so far. According to Johns Hopkins University 1400 Indians have breathed their last from coronavirus. To curtail the unpredictable damage, the country of 1.3 billion people has been in confinement since late March.
