According to, “A tropical disturbance is evolving on the east coast of Madagascar. The tropical disturbance is moving east-southeast. On this trajectory, it will approach Mauritius while intensifying further.
At 4 p.m., the tropical disturbance was centered approximately 850 km west-northwest of Mauritius, in latitude 18.5 degrees South and longitude 49.5 degrees East. It moves east-southeast at around 25 km / h. As the system will evolve in a favorable environment, it could intensify in a moderate tropical storm during the night of Friday when it crosses near Mauritius. Wind gusts exceeding 100 km / h can be felt tomorrow evening. ”
“The weather in Mauritius will gradually become overcast this night with intermittent rains. Rains will become more frequent late at night and may be moderate to heavy with thunderstorms. The wind will blow from the northwest at around 20 km / h. The wind will gradually strengthen tomorrow and gusts could exceed 100 km / h tomorrow evening. The high seas will be strong with swells.
