Pakistan: Coronavirus cases jump to 803


According to the National Command and Control Centre for the novel coronavirus, 803 cases have been diagnosed throughout Pakistan.

Sindh, where most of the cases have been enumerated has reached 352, so far and the capital city Islamabad has recorded 15 persons tested positive.

On the side of Punjab, 225 people have been affected, 108 in Balochistan, 31 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,71 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and one in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The number of deaths reported has reached 6, while six patients of the coronavirus have recovered after treatment, as indicated by ARY News.

The Prime Minister also explained that a lockdown is not possible. This decision was taken after considering the fact that about 25% population of Pakistan is below the poverty line. Thus, they would not survive 14 days lockdown.
