Chandigarh, February 1

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal has said that the complete failure of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party government in advocating for the state’s rights has today resulted in zero gains for Punjab in the Union Budget. “The state received no special package, no major new projects, no new scheme for our farmers, traders, industry, youth, or border areas”, he added. Badal further said, “Remember Parkash Singh Badal’s era: He engaged every Prime Minister constructively (even Manmohan Singh), presented Punjab’s case powerfully and delivered major projects and fair shares — including AIIMS, Refinery, IIM, IIT and 4/6-lane national highways. Punjab deserves strong leadership that fights for its people — not those who only make excuses”, he concluded.
