Ludhiana, January 29
Senior Congress leader Amrita Warring today visited Ludhiana. Her visit underscored the Congress Party’s commitment to strengthening grassroots connections and addressing the pressing concerns of the people of Punjab. During her interactions, Warring emphasized the importance of unity, transparency and accountability in governance. She reiterated that the Congress Party stands firmly with farmers, industrial workers and small business owners who form the backbone of Ludhiana’s economy.
Highlighting the challenges faced by the textile and manufacturing sectors, Warring assured stakeholders that the Congress will continue to advocate for policies that promote sustainable growth, fair wages and job creation. She also stressed on the need for better educational opportunities, skill development programs and employment avenues. She noted that Ludhiana, as Punjab’s industrial hub, has immense potential to become a center of innovation and entrepreneurship if given the right support.
In her remarks, she criticized the current government for failing to deliver on promises related to public welfare. She called for immediate action to improve road connectivity, ensure reliable electricity supply and bring law and order under control.
Warring reaffirmed her dedication to amplifying the voices of Ludhiana’s citizens. She urged party workers to remain steadfast in their efforts, reminding them that the Congress Party’s vision is rooted in inclusivity, justice and progress for all.
Later, she along with former District Congress Committee, Ludhiana (Urban) President and Ex-Chairman of the Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, Pawan Dewan, also visited the family of Hemant Sood, whose mother-in-law Renu Sood passed away recently.
