New Delhi, November 22
Assam Rifles in a moving gesture of national pride and remembrance, facilitated the visit of 22 students from Manipur’s Churachandpur District to the National War Memorial in New Delhi yesterday. The visit formed an important part of the National Integration Tour (NIT) organised under Operation Sadbhavana, aimed at nurturing national unity, awareness, and emotional bonding among youth from remote border regions. Accompanied by two teachers, support staff, and a team of five personnel of Assam Rifles, the group had been flagged off on November 15. Since then, the tour has taken the students across major cultural and historical landmarks of the country, offering them an immersive first-hand experience of India’s rich heritage, diversity, and collective national spirit.
