Congress making baseless allegations of vote theft: Jakhar

Chandigarh, December 14

Commenting on the rally being held by the Congress party in Delhi today under the propaganda of alleged vote theft, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State President Sunil Jakhar said that, in reality, Congress has lost the trust of its workers and the people, which is why it is facing repeated electoral defeats. He said that instead of introspecting on the reasons for its losses, the party is trying to create confusion in the country by casting aspersions on democratic institutions.

Referring to a social media post shared on his X handle, Sunil Jakhar wrote, “The Congress party, which for so many years kept claiming that EVMs are hacked, is today holding a rally in Delhi against alleged vote theft. If EVMs are hacked, then why would anyone need to steal votes at all? Congress should first decide whether EVMs are hacked or whether vote theft is taking place. Now even Congress’s own workers do not believe the party’s claims of vote theft; instead, they believe that the lack of pro-people policies and the public’s loss of faith in its leadership are the real reasons for Congress’s defeat.”

The BJP State President questioned the Congress party, saying it should first decide for itself which drama it wants to enact. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government has been continuously taking pro-people decisions, and the public trusts the BJP’s leadership and its capability. In contrast, the Congress party has neither any clear policy nor any credibility left in its leadership. Instead of accepting this truth and prioritising corrective measures, Congress continues to hide its failures by alternately spreading false narratives of vote theft and EVM malfunction to cover up its defeats.

Meanwhile, Jakhar has congratulated Nitin Nabin on being appointed as the Working President of the BJP. “Under his leadership, the party will serve the nation with even greater strength and dedication”, said Jakhar.
