Gurugram, February 21
The “Joint Official Language Conference and Award Distribution Ceremony” for offices of the Eastern, North-Eastern, North-I and North-II regions was organised yesterday at the International Indoor Exhibition Centre, Hapania, Agartala, Tripura, by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The conference was held under the chairmanship of the Union Home and Cooperation Minister, Amit Shah. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, and Dr. Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura, also attended the event as distinguished guests.
Representatives from various Central Government offices participated in the conference. During the event, Central Government offices that performed exceptionally well in the field of Official Language implementation during the year 2024–25 were honoured with the “Regional Official Language Award,” while Town Official Language Implementation Committees were presented with the “Official Language Honour Award.”
From the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Sub-Regional Office, Gurugram, Sunil Yadav, Director (In-Charge) and Dr. Sweety Yadav, Assistant Director (Official Language), represented the office at the conference. The Sub-Regional Office, Gurugram, was awarded the Second Prize for its outstanding work in the field of Official Language. The award was presented by the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who conferred a shield and certificate upon Sunil Yadav, Director (In-Charge), and Dr. Sweety Yadav, Assistant Director (Official Language).
