Free AYUSH health camp organised in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, April 9

On the occasion of World Homoeopathy Day, the Directorate of AYUSH, Chandigarh Administration, successfully organized a Free AYUSH Health Camp on April 9 at the AYUSH Integrated Hospital, Sector 34, Chandigarh. The initiative aimed to promote holistic healthcare and raise awareness about the benefits of Homoeopathy among the general public including senior citizens.

The camp received an overwhelming response, with nearly 150 patients availing themselves of various healthcare services. Comprehensive consultations were provided through Homoeopathic, Ayurvedic, and Unani OPDs, with special focus on the geriatric population. Free diagnostic services, including blood sugar testing, blood pressure (BP) monitoring, and bone density assessment, were also offered to the beneficiaries.

To further emphasize the importance of holistic well-being, a yoga demonstration session was conducted, encouraging participants to adopt healthier lifestyles. Adding an engaging and interactive dimension to the event, a fun-filled activity session for senior citizens was organized. A nukkad natak was also performed to effectively spread awareness about the principles and benefits of Homoeopathy among the public.

Present during the occasion was Director AYUSH, Chandigarh Administration, Sorabh Kumar Arora, PCS, along with other senior officers from the AYUSH Department. The Directorate of AYUSH remains committed to strengthening integrative healthcare practices and bringing affordable, accessible, and holistic medical services closer to the community.
