Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla graced the last cultural evening of the International Shivratri Mahotsav as the chief guest. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla was also present on the occasion. The concluding cultural evening was dedicated to Devadidev Mahadev and witnessed a spiritually charged atmosphere marked by devotion and enthusiasm. The highlight of the evening was a captivating performance by renowned singer Hansraj Raghuwanshi, who enthralled the audience with soulful renditions in praise of Lord Shiva. His popular bhajans and devotional numbers created a deeply devotional ambiance, drawing applause from the large gathering present at the venue.
The Governor said that the International Shivratri Mahotsav is not merely a festival but a vibrant expression of Himachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted spiritual traditions. “Such festivals strengthen our cultural identity and promote unity, devotion and social harmony,” he said. Earlier, the Governor and the Lady Governor were felicitated by the district administration as a mark of respect and gratitude for their gracious presence.
