In a fierce encounter, Ludhiana Police shot two operatives of a terror module, who had come to carry out a grenade attack. One of them is critically injured. The Police have busted a Pakistan ISI-backed Multi-State Gangster-Terror Module and links with the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang have been uncovered. Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were in contact with a foreign-based handler through accused based in different states to coordinate pickup and delivery of the consignment and carry out terror attacks. The task was given by the foreign-based handler to the accused to carry out the terror attack using hand grenades in the State, Government buildings and other targets to create tensions around the state. FIR has been registered at PS Jodhewal, Ludhiana, under sections of the Explosives Act and Arms Act and investigation is underway to explore their links to the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. Three other accused have been arrested, out of whom one accused with links to one Pawan, who is the brother of Harry, who carried out the firing on the house of Salman Khan in Mumbai, has been arrested too. Total 2 Chinese 86P Hand grenades, 5 sophisticated pistols and 40 plus rounds recovered.
