In a matter of great pride, Anisha Rai Chauhan, an NSS volunteer of SCD Government College, Ludhiana, has been selected to represent the NSS contingent at the Republic Day Parade 2026, to be held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. Out of a total of eight students selected from Punjab, four are female students, including Anisha Rai Chauhan. Anisha is a student of M.A. English at SCD Government College, Ludhiana and is one of the four students selected from Panjab University who will get the prestigious opportunity to participate in the march-past at Kartavya Path on the occasion of Republic Day 2026. Her selection came after successfully clearing several rigorous stages of the selection process from among hundreds of students.
The Principal of the college, Professor (Dr.) Gursharn Jit Singh Sandhu, expressed happiness over Anisha’s selection and congratulated her, stating that the college is proud of her achievement. He added that this is a significant accomplishment of the college’s NSS Unit, for which the NSS Convener and Programme Officers, Dr. Devina Ghai, Dr. Saurabh Kumar, and the entire NSS team, also deserve appreciation.
On this occasion, Anisha credited her selection to her NSS Programme Officers and said that from joining NSS to being selected for the Republic Day Parade, she received constant guidance and motivation at every step, which made this achievement possible.
This achievement is a matter of immense pride for the NSS Unit of the college. The entire college fraternity has congratulated Anisha Rai Chauhan and wishes her a bright future and continued success.
