Chandigarh, January 15
Punjab Youth Congress today clarified that the Organisational Election process has officially commenced in the state of Punjab, following the established and transparent democratic framework of the organisation. “It is important to note that no elected or appointed organisational body has been dissolved at this stage. All existing office bearers and committees at the Block, Assembly, District, and State levels shall continue to function and discharge their responsibilities until the new election results are formally announced by the competent authority,” said PYC President Mohit Mohindra.
Mohindra added that for clarity, Punjab Youth Congress would like to highlight that a similar election process was launched in January 2023 and this year as well, the election process has been announced in January 2026, maintaining continuity and organisational discipline. “Any reports or rumours suggesting dissolution of the existing organisational bodies are false, misleading and baseless. PYC remains fully committed to a transparent, democratic and structured election process, ensuring organisational stability throughout the transition,”, said Mohindra.
