Chandigarh, March 21
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has demanded that a case of muder under section 302 must be registered in the suicide case of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, a District Manager with the Punjab Warehousing Corporation and the accused named in the suicide not must be arrested.
In a social media post, Chug wrote, “A CBI investigation must be instituted in the case to expose the pressure the AAP ministers have been executing on state officials to extract heavy bribes.”
Chugh futher stated that reports suggest that the official, who committed suicide, was under pressure in connection with a tender and was forced to admit to taking a bribe. “The official was assaulted and threatened following which the officer died by suicide after consuming Celphos. Resident of Ranjit Avenue, was handling Amritsar duties with additional charge of Patti”, he added.
Chug further stated that it is an alarming matter since allegedly the officer was forced to admit accepting a Rs 10 lakh bribe. Claimed pressure to award a tender to the minister’s aide, said he chose a legitimate bidder instead. “Allegedly he was called to the minister’s place, assaulted, and attempts were made to record a video”, he added.
Chugh described the incident is not only a big shame for Punjab but also starkly exposes the manner AAP government has been working at the grassroot level. “After patronising ganster raj and promoting mafias in different forms, the Bhagwant Mann-Kejriwal duo seems to be bent upon pushing Punjab into gutters”, he concluded.
