Punjab Guv Felicitates Sankalp IAS Alumni at ‘Annual Parv Milan’ Function

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh Gulab Chand Kataria today felicitated selected candidates and serving civil servants—alumni of Sankalp IAS, Chandigarh—during the annual ‘Parv Milan’ function held at Punjab Lok Bhawan. The programme was organised to honour successful candidates and serving officers trained at Sankalp IAS, a premier civil services coaching institution.

Addressing the gathering, the Governor stated that civil servants are custodians of constitutional values and serve as a vital bridge between the State and its citizens. He emphasised the importance of integrity, transparency, and human-centric governance, and acknowledged the critical role played by institutions and mentors in shaping responsible and ethical civil servants.

Governor felicitated 20 officers from the IAS, IPS, IRS, IIS, HCS, PCS, and AETC cadres, who are currently serving in various capacities across the country, and lauded their achievements and commitment to public service. The Governor also appreciated the faculty and mentors of Sankalp IAS for instilling discipline, academic excellence, and public service values among students, and expressed confidence in the institution’s continued contribution to nation-building.

Charanjit Rai, President, Sankalp IAS, Chandigarh, informed that the Chandigarh centre has so far guided 133 successful candidates in UPSC and other competitive examinations. Referring to the recent PCS results, he congratulated the institution for achieving 13 selections out of 18 candidates.
