Following the acceptance of the Punjab Transport and Prison Minister Laljit Bhullar, there has been reallocation of portfolios. According to the information, Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of the Transport Department. At the same time, Dr. Ravjot Singh has been appointed to lead the Prison Department. The reallocation of portfolios is being viewed as part of the government’s broader push to enhance administrative efficiency and streamline decision-making. With Cheema already steering the state’s financial policies, his expanded charge over transport is expected to shape strategies around infrastructure development and public mobility.
