Chandigarh, December 4
A comprehensive review meeting on the Land Stack Project was held at the DC Office, Chandigarh, under the chairmanship of S. Chockalingam, Principal Secretary and CEO, Government of Maharashtra. Senior officers from the Chandigarh Administration and representatives associated with the project were present during the meeting.
The Land Stack Project, a major digital governance initiative, aims to streamline and integrate land-related data on a single digital platform to enhance transparency, efficiency, and ease of access for citizens and government agencies. Chandigarh is among the pilot regions working on the implementation of this initiative.
During the meeting Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, delivered an in-depth presentation covering the progress made so far, including data digitization, integration of land records, mutation workflows, mapping of land parcels, and proposed citizen-facing services. He highlighted various technical and administrative steps taken by the Chandigarh Administration to ensure accuracy, interoperability, and user-friendly features on the upcoming portal.
After reviewing the presentation, Chockalingam expressed satisfaction over the substantial progress achieved by Chandigarh under the project. He appreciated the meticulous approach adopted by the Administration and acknowledged the efforts made toward creating a robust and transparent digital land ecosystem. He also offered constructive suggestions to further strengthen the platform, including adding more granular data layers, enhancing user interface features, and incorporating additional service modules to ensure a seamless experience for stakeholders once the portal is formally launched.
The Deputy Commissioner assured that all recommendations would be examined and integrated in a time-bound manner. He emphasized that Chandigarh Administration is fully committed to meeting the project deadlines and delivering a comprehensive, citizen-centric digital solution aligned with national digital governance goals. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue collaborative efforts to ensure the successful and timely implementation of the Land Stack Project in Chandigarh.
