Chandigarh, November 5

The Centre for Public Health, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised a special lecture on “Health Equity and Community Engagement”. The special lecture featured eminent speakers, Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Ex-Dean (Academic) & Ex-Head, Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh, and Prof. Manmeet Kaur, CEO, HEAL, and Former Professor, Department of Community Medicine & School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh, who shared their expert insights on promoting health equity and enhancing community engagement in public health initiatives.

The session was chaired by Dr. Manoj Kumar, Chairperson, Centre for Public Health, Panjab University, Chandigarh.The lecture provided valuable perspectives on addressing disparities in health outcomes, ensuring equitable access to healthcare, and strengthening community participation for sustainable public health development. The event concluded with an interactive discussion emphasising the importance of collaborative action and inclusive policies in achieving health equity.
