CT Group of Institutions and CT Public School Celebrate Lohri

CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, Maqsudan Campus, along with CT Public School, celebrated the festival of Lohri with great enthusiasm, cultural vibrance, and a spirit of togetherness across all campuses. The celebration saw active participation from teaching and non-teaching staff, school staff, and students, reflecting the institution’s commitment to preserving cultural values and promoting unity.

The campuses were adorned with traditional “Sada Pind” themes, showcasing the richness of Punjab’s rural heritage. The festivities centered around the sacred Lohri bonfire, symbolizing prosperity, happiness, and new beginnings. Participants offered traditional items such as peanuts, popcorn, and revri into the fire, praying for peace, growth, and success.

The celebration was brought to life with lively Punjabi folk music, energetic bhangra, and vibrant gidda performances, filling the campuses with joy and warmth. The event provided a refreshing break from routine while strengthening bonds within the CT Group of Institutions and CT Public School family.

Chairman Charanjit Singh Channi extended warm Lohri greetings, emphasising that celebrating cultural festivals within educational institutions helps preserve traditions and fosters harmony and positivity. Vice-Chairman Harpreet Singh, said, “Such celebrations remind us of our roots and traditions, instilling joy, positivity, and a strong sense of belonging across our campuses.”

Campus Directors Dr. Shiv Kumar (Shahpur Campus) and Dr. Anurag Sharma (Maqsudan Campus) lauded the collective efforts of the organisers and participants, stating that the celebrations beautifully reflected Punjab’s cultural essence and the values of unity and inclusivity.

Principal, CT Public School Manisha Basnet conveyed her heartfelt Lohri wishes and remarked that such cultural events help instill traditional values, positivity, and a strong sense of belonging among students and staff.
