Chandigarh, November 16

Bharatiya Janata Party’s state president Sunil Jakhar has said that the shooting and murder of Naveen Arora, the young son of RSS leader Baldev Raj Arora in Ferozepur, has once again exposed the collapse of law and order under the AAP government.

In a press statement issued here today, Jakhar said that gangsters are running a parallel government in the state, while Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has failed to fulfil his responsibilities and has left Punjab abandoned.

Expressing grief over the death of the RSS leader’s son, the BJP president said that the people of Punjab are being forced to live in an atmosphere of fear, while the Aam Aadmi Party government has completely failed to provide law and order and security to the citizens.

Jakhar said that every day people are receiving threatening and extortion calls, and some serious incident is taking place in one part of the state or another. He added that anti-social elements no longer fear the government because those running the government lack even the basic understanding of governance.

Meanwhile, Ashwani Sharma, the working President of the Punjab unit of BJP has also strongly condemned the brazen and brutal murder of Naveen Arora. He said, “Naveen  Arora, a third-generation volunteer, was the grandson of senior RSS leader and respected social worker, the late Dina Nath, and the son of Baldev Raj Arora.”

Sharma stated that this is neither the first nor an isolated incident. He said that the continuous murders and crimes targeting businessmen, athletes, youth, and common people raise serious questions about the incompetent working style of the Punjab government.

Sharma alleged that the Punjab government has proven to be a complete failure in handling law and order, and that the BJP will not remain silent on the issue of the safety of innocent people. He said this incident clearly shows how the morale of criminals has soared under the current government’s rule. Expressing deep concern, he stated that people in Punjab no longer feel safe anywhere.

Sharma further said, “Instead of ensuring public safety, the Punjab Police has been deployed to serve Arvind Kejriwal and his team, who have come from Delhi, which is against public interest.” He said the BJP will continue its fight against this rising wave of crime and will keep demanding strict measures to restore peace and security in the state. Sharma expressed his deep condolences to the Arora family and assured them of all possible support in their fight for justice.
