Over the past three decades, Rajiv Phull has contributed in various editorial roles across prominent media organizations including Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Dainik Tribune, India Today, and Divya Himachal Media Group — where he notably led its English weekly, Himachal This Week, as In-charge. Rajiv Phull is a remarkable polymath whose diverse accomplishments span journalism, agriculture, and sports. He holds the rare distinction of being an accomplished national-level Basketball and Handball player, a progressive dairy farmer and Angora rabbit breeder, and a journalist of critical repute.
Educated at St. Paul’s High School, Palampur, he pursued Pre-Medical studies at HP University Campus before earning his BVSc & AH degree from Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana. He later completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication (PGJMC) from IGNOU, seamlessly bridging the worlds of science, agriculture, and public communication. His sporting career is adorned with numerous medals at the inter-university, state, and national levels, earning him PAU’s Sports Colour twice and the coveted Roll of Honour for his outstanding athletic achievements.
As a veterinarian, his pioneering work in Angora rabbit farming has made significant contributions to rural enterprise. He has authored two well-regarded books on Rabbit Farming and its Economics — one in Hindi and one in English — adding educational value to the sector.
