International Conference on Business Sustainability Inaugurated at MRSPTU

Bathinda, March 18

The University Business School (UBS) of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, inaugurated an international conference on “Reimagining Business Sustainability in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation.” The event saw participation from academicians, industry experts, researchers, and students from across the globe.

Dr. Pritpal Singh Bhullar, Head, UBS, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern business practices and the need to align it with sustainable development. The inaugural session began with the ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma and Registrar Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar addressed the gathering, outlining a forward-looking vision for sustainable and technology-driven growth. Chief Guest Dr. Akhilesh Pathak, Dean Academics, AIIMS Bathinda, emphasized innovation and interdisciplinary approaches to address global challenges.

Keynote speakers Dr. Kartik Dave, Dean, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, New Delhi, and Dr. Ravinder Rena, Professor, Durban University of Technology, South Africa, shared insights on sustainable business models, digital transformation, and global economic trends, stressing the integration of AI with ethical practices.

A panel discussion moderated by Dr. Vikas Deep, President, Bathinda Management Association, featured experts Dr. Vikas Garg, Dr. Amandeep Singh, Dr. Lalit Mohan, and Dr. Ashish Baldi. The panel deliberated on emerging challenges and opportunities in AI-driven sustainable business, encouraging meaningful exchange of ideas.

The conference also included research presentations and interactive sessions, fostering academic–industry collaboration. A felicitation ceremony honoured distinguished guests and speakers.

Dr. Veerpaul Kaur Maan, Associate Professor, UBS, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizers. The conference is expected to promote innovative ideas and collaborations for a sustainable, technology-enabled future.
