CM Dhami convenes virtual meeting with all DMs

On Monday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting with all District Magistrates from his private residence in Khatima. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed all district officials to speed up the campaign to remove encroachments from government land. He emphasized that government land located in village assemblies should also be examined.

The Chief Minister instructed that land purchased in violation of land laws should be investigated. He said that swift hearings should be conducted in this campaign, and if violations of land laws are found, the land should be vested in the state government. He also directed the removal of illegal encroachments on enemy properties located in the state. He further stated that the details of Waqf properties recorded on the Ummeed portal should be regularly reviewed and inspected.

The Chief Minister ordered verification of arms licenses issued to people from other states and identification of individuals with criminal backgrounds. He also directed inspection of public service centers and identification of ineligible people who are availing government benefits through fake ration cards. He instructed effective monitoring of suspicious activities and acceleration of the verification drive.

In view of the upcoming monsoon, the Chief Minister directed all districts to complete preparations in time. He said that pre-monsoon review meetings should be held in each district to ensure all necessary arrangements. He instructed timely repair of damaged roads in interior areas and smooth maintenance of drinking water supply, especially during the summer season. He emphasized that any water-related issues or technical problems should be resolved immediately on a priority basis.

The Chief Minister directed that unnecessary power cuts should not occur anywhere in the state. He said that if power cuts are unavoidable, prior information should be given to the public at the local level to avoid inconvenience.

Dhami instructed regular monitoring of the Char Dham Yatra. He said that continuous feedback should be taken from pilgrims on the travel routes, and improvements should be made based on suggestions and complaints. He directed ensuring adequate drinking water availability along the Char Dham routes and preparing an effective traffic management plan. He also instructed that the construction of the Kainchi Dham bypass under the Manaskhand Yatra should be completed by next month without fail.

The Chief Minister emphasized that schemes being run through the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments, such as polyhouses, the Apple Mission, and the Kiwi Mission, should not remain confined to paperwork but should be implemented effectively to benefit farmers. He said that a results-oriented work culture must be adopted in agriculture and horticulture to increase farmers’ income and strengthen the rural economy.

Dhami directed that reconstruction work in disaster-affected areas from last year should be completed more quickly. He also sought detailed information on the progress of reconstruction work in Joshimath. The Chief Minister instructed that special vigilance and monitoring should be increased in disaster-prone areas before the monsoon.
