Chandigarh, January 19
Under the leadership of Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar and Working President Ashwani Sharma, members of the BJP Punjab State Core Committee, former MPs, former MLAs and the senior leadership of the party will pay obeisance at Rasukhana Shri Nabh Kanwal Raja Sahib Gurdwara, Banga on January 22.
On this occasion, former State President Manoranjan Kalia, former State President and former MP Avinash Rai Khanna, former National Chairman SC Commission and former State President Vijay Sampla, former Rajya Sabha Member and former State President Shwet Malik, former Union Minister Som Parkash, former Vice Chairman Minority Commission Manjit Singh Rai, former MLA Keval Dhillon and several other senior leaders will also be present.
The BJP has levelled serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party government for playing open politics with the sentiments of the Sikh sangat over the issue of the recovery of 169 saroops. Party leaders said that on one hand the government is making false claims of recovery, whereas the Managing Committee has already placed the entire truth on record, and even after that neither the government nor the inquiry committee has issued any clarification.
According to the BJP, this matter is linked with religious faith, but the AAP government is using it for political gain. Until there is a complete investigation, documentary clarity and accountability in the case of the 169 saroops, the government’s claims cannot be trusted. The BJP has warned that if the government does not speak the truth on this serious issue related to the saroops of Guru Sahib, the party will intensify its struggle from the streets to the Assembly.
