A Surgical First: PGIMER Organises India’s Inaugural Keyhole Brain Endoscopy Course

The Departments of Neurosurgery and Anatomy at PGIMER in Chandigarh organized the First Comprehensive Keyhole Brain Endoscopy Course in India during 7-8 February. As the first of its kind in India, this course showcased innovative techniques and state-of-the-art gadgets for hands-on cadaver training, covering the full spectrum of minimally invasive endoscopic brain surgery.

Prof. S.K. Gupta & Prof. Anjali A highlighted the significance of such pioneering workshops. Prof. Dhandapani SS and Dr Chandrashekhar G led the course with external experts Dr. Ramesh T & Dr Anant M. Many delegates provided positive feedback, reflecting enthusiasm for this groundbreaking initiative. PGI’s Neurosurgery department has cemented its global reputation through numerous innovative endoscopic techniques reported in the world literature.
