Strengthening its commitment towards environmental sustainability, Patiala Foundation successfully conducted a workshop entitled “Save Water: Think, Act, Preserve” at GSSSS Pheel Khana, Patiala. The initiative was organized in collaboration with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India.

This initiative was carried out as a part of Project PRITHVI of Patiala Foundation aimed at promoting sustainable measures, environmental awareness, and responsible living practices among communities, especially the youth.

The interactive workshop commenced with a pre-activity assessment, encouraging students to reflect on their understanding of water usage and conservation, followed by an engaging session conducted by Ravee Singh Ahluwalia, Founder and CEO of Patiala Foundation, followed by a session on preservation of water by Nishu Gupta. They shared valuable insights, practical knowledge, and real-world perspectives with the participants. Through interactive discussions and activity-based learning, students explored key concerns such as water wastage, sustainable consumption and practical conservation methods including reuse, mindful usage, and rainwater harvesting.

The session focused on transforming awareness into action, encouraging students to adopt responsible habits in their daily lives. The activities were efficiently overseen and conducted by dedicated interns of Patiala Foundation, Anahat and Sukhtaj of MM Modi College and Navdeep of DSW, Punjabi University, ensuring smooth execution and active student engagement throughout the program.

Highlighting the importance of collective responsibility, Ravee Singh Ahluwalia said, “Water is not just a resource; it is the foundation of life. If we begin to think responsibly, act consciously, and preserve diligently, we can secure a sustainable future for generations to come. Every drop saved today is a step toward tomorrow.”

The organizing team extends sincere gratitude to the staff of GSSSS Pheel Khana, especially Rajnesh Gupta (Principal), Paramjit, Archana and Simran for their invaluable support and coordination in making the session impactful.

This workshop conducted by Patiala Foundation under the aegis of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change reflects a shared vision of nurturing young minds and help them become conscious citizens who value their environment and adapt sustainable practices.
