Rajinder Gupta, Chairman Emeritus of Trident Group and a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, is currently undergoing medical treatment in the United States and is likely to undergo his third major heart surgery soon.

According to available information, Gupta had travelled to the U.S. for a routine medical check-up at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic. However, following a detailed evaluation, doctors have advised a fresh cardiac procedure.

Sources indicate that the surgery is expected to take place this week. Post-surgery, Gupta will remain in the U.S. for further recovery and medical supervision, with an anticipated recovery period of approximately three weeks, including hospitalization.

During this critical time, his family—including his wife, son, and daughter—are by his side. Additionally, the office of the Consulate General of India is in constant touch with the family, ensuring all necessary support and assistance.

Notably, this will be Gupta’s third heart surgery. He had previously undergone cardiac procedures in 2002 and 2009.
