Chandigarh, April 6
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has established a new identity at the global level today, the strong foundation of which was laid under the visionary leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said that the party has always pursued ideology-based politics with the resolve to make the nation strong and developed. It is the result of the sacrifice, struggle and foresight of senior leaders that, keeping national interest paramount, even organizations like Jan Sangh were merged for a larger goal. This reflects the BJP’s vision, where nation-building and the resolve to take India to the highest peak have always been above power or organization.
On Monday, the Chief Minister was addressing the BJP’s 47th Foundation Day celebrations at the party’s district office Gurukamal in Gurugram. On this occasion, he also unveiled a 9-foot statue of former Prime Minister, party founder, and first president Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the office premises. BJP State In-Charge Dr. Satish Poonia and State President Mohan Lal Baroli were present at the statue unveiling. Earlier, Gurugram District President Sarvapriya Tyagi welcomed Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, State President Pandit Mohan Lal Baroli, and State In-Charge Dr. Satish Poonia at the BJP office.
Addressing the Foundation Day ceremony, the Chief Minister said that BJP’s Foundation Day is an opportunity to recall the values and ideals that great leaders established in the organization through their penance and hard work. He said that BJP was founded not merely as a political party, but as the rise of national service, dedication, and a strong ideology. The foundation laid on April 6, 1980, has today taken the form of a vast banyan tree, established as the world’s largest political organization. Saini said that behind this historic journey lie the sacrifice, hard work and dedication of millions of workers who worked tirelessly to give a new direction to the nation.
