Ludhiana, April 12
Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora on Sunday inaugurated a newly developed sports ground at Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, a major step toward promoting sports infrastructure and youth engagement in the region. Addressing the gathering, Arora highlighted the vital role of sports in maintaining physical fitness and mental well-being among youth. He emphasized that active participation in sports can play a crucial role in steering young individuals away from substance abuse and guiding them toward a positive and productive path.
“Sports provide an excellent platform to channel the energy of youth in a constructive manner. It not only builds discipline and teamwork but also helps in shaping responsible citizens,” Arora stated. The Cabinet Minister further announced that the Punjab government is actively working on developing playgrounds in villages across the state. This initiative aims to strengthen sports infrastructure after from 3 PM. He noted that such community-oriented initiatives significantly enhance access to quality sports facilities.
Arora also informed that the newly inaugurated ground has been equipped with facilities for multiple sports, including volleyball, cricket, football, and pickleball, offering a comprehensive space for budding athletes to train and excel.
