In line with the nationwide Fit India Movement, the 75th edition of the “Sunday on Cycle” campaign was marked with a spirited Cycle Rally organised by the Border Security Force, Punjab Frontier Headquarters, Jalandhar, today. Held under the aegis of the BSF Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, the event aimed to promote physical fitness, healthy living, and environmental consciousness.
The rally commenced from Ashwani Stadium at the Frontier Headquarters and drew enthusiastic participation from over 250 BSF personnel, including officers, subordinate officers, jawans, and family members. Their collective presence reflected the force’s commitment to maintaining physical fitness and embracing a healthy lifestyle.
The rally was ceremonially flagged off by Dr. Atul Fulzele, IPS, Inspector General, BSF Punjab Frontier, amidst an atmosphere of pride, enthusiasm, and patriotic fervour. Addressing the participants, Dr. Fulzele underscored the importance of fitness in the lives of security personnel and highlighted cycling as an effective, eco‑friendly, and sustainable means of ensuring physical and mental well‑being.
Passing through key locations in Jalandhar, the rally generated awareness about fitness while showcasing remarkable energy and discipline. It not only reinforced the message of personal health but also encouraged environmental responsibility and community participation.
The event concluded on a high note, successfully advancing the objectives of the Fit India Movement and inspiring participants to integrate fitness into their daily routines.
