The Department of Physiotherapy at CT Institute of Higher Studies (CTIHS), CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus, organised a two-day Dry Needling and Cupping Workshop at the MK College Seminar Hall under the expert guidance of Dr. Chirag Verma, PhD in Physiotherapy and MPT in Sports, an international instructor, educator, physiotherapist and manual therapist. With experience in training over 15,000 physiotherapists globally and conducting more than 400 workshops, Dr. Verma guided students through the clinical principles and practical applications of these specialised techniques.

The workshop focused on strengthening students’ clinical knowledge, practical competencies and hands-on skills in dry needling and cupping. Sessions covered relevant anatomy, clinical assessment, technique selection, potential therapeutic benefits, safety precautions and the application of these techniques in managing selected musculoskeletal conditions.

Through expert demonstrations and hands-on learning sessions, students gained practical insights into translating theoretical knowledge into clinical practice. The training emphasised clinical reasoning, patient safety, appropriate intervention planning and evidence-informed approaches to rehabilitation. It also provided participants with an opportunity to interact with an experienced clinical educator and explore contemporary practices in physiotherapy.

The two-day initiative highlighted the importance of skill-based education and continuous professional development in preparing future physiotherapists for the evolving demands of clinical practice. By integrating academic learning with expert-led practical exposure, CTIHS continues to strengthen its focus on developing competent, confident and practice-ready healthcare professionals.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Chirag Verma. The occasion was graced by Dr. Jayaashish Sethi, Director, Campus; Dr. Vikrant Rehani, Vice Principal; and Dr. Arun Shergill, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy. On the inaugural day, Dr. Verma was welcomed by Dr. Jayaashish Sethi with a green welcome gesture. Dr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group, felicitated Dr. Verma with a token of appreciation in recognition of his contribution to professional education and clinical skill development.
