Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the Mansa incident, alleging that the state is witnessing “emergency-like” conditions and that the government was using force against people to cover up its failures.

Dhillon said the AAP government has failed to curb drug abuse, with young people continuing to fall victim to the menace. He strongly condemned the alleged use of force against the family of a young man who died following drug abuse in Bhamme Kalan, Mansa, and others who were peacefully demanding justice.

Dhillon alleged that the deceased youth’s body was dragged along the roads, the turbans and kakars of Sikh men were disrespected, members of the press were mistreated, peaceful protesters were forcibly dragged away, and several people were taken into custody.

“The government that came to power promising change has crossed all limits of repression,” Dhillon said. Referring to the demand for justice for Parwinder Singh Jhota, Dhillon alleged that instead of addressing the issue, the government had intensified its crackdown on those raising their voices against drug abuse.

“Excessive oppression inevitably leads to its own downfall. The AAP government has gone too far with its repressive actions, and its end is now near,” he warned. Dhillon also appealed to BJP workers and people across Punjab to stand in solidarity with Bapu Bhim Singh and other affected families in their fight against drug abuse and their demand for justice.
