Chandigarh, November, 13

Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij has expressed deep sorrow over the terrorist bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, calling it a grave act of terrorism in which innocent lives were lost. He said that due to the alertness and efficiency of India’s security agencies, a major catastrophe was prevented. Vij said that “Our police and security forces foiled a dangerous conspiracy in time. I salute all the security personnel who saved the nation from a massive tragedy.”

Responding to questions regarding confirming the involvement of terrorist Umar in this attack, he said that about 3,000 kilograms of ammonium nitrate had been recovered, which could have destroyed any major city.

Vij said that all security and investigative agencies are probing the case in depth. Authorities are working to uncover who was behind the conspiracy, who supplied the explosives, and where the entire operation was planned. He added that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it very clear that anyone involved in terrorism or in aiding such acts will not be spared under any circumstances.”

Commenting on the ‘vote chori’ allegations made by Congress regarding the Bihar elections, Vij took a jibe, saying that Congress has made “crying after defeat” a tradition. He said that “The Congress party has learned many ways to cry in its school — one, to lament after losing elections, and two, to accuse others of vote theft. Even if there were duplicate votes, why don’t they tell how many were actually cast and in whose favor? The real gain or loss can only be determined after voting, not before.”

Reacting to Congress’s ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ (Vote Thief, Vacate the Chair) protest organized in Ambala under the leadership of Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Vij mocked the Congress leader and said that “He (Hooda) is like a toy. The moment Rahul Gandhi winds him up, he starts moving. And when Rahul stops it, he too comes to a halt.”
