Chandigarh, January 12

Expressing concern over the continuously deteriorating law and order situation in the state, Bharatiya Janata Party’s State President Sunil Jakhar said that the law and order situation in Punjab has reached its worst level.

Sharing a message on his social media in this regard, he wrote that before the Chief Minister’s visit, gangsters in Phagwara today fired seven rounds at a sweets shop, effectively “saluting” the police, thereby openly challenging AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s claim of eliminating gangsters within seven days.

“Earlier, a similar indiscriminate firing incident had taken place at the residence of AAP leader Daljit Singh Raju in Phagwara itself”, said Jakhar, while questioning whether the AAP government is even capable of doing anything about this situation, or whether the people have been left at the mercy of gangsters.

The BJP State President said that there appears to be no government in the state and people are being forced to live in fear and panic. He said the AAP government has completely failed, and gangsters are openly challenging the government by carrying out incidents on a daily basis. He urged the Chief Minister to focus on the situation in the state instead of trying to please his masters sitting in Delhi.
