Lucknow, November 7
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended greetings to people of the state on the festival of lights, Deepawali. Congratulating people on the 10th Deepotsav, he appealed, “When diyas are lit at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, you should also light diyas in your respective homes and courtyards.” CM stated, “Today, the sacred city of Shri Ayodhya Dham, nestled in the lap of holy and sacred Maa Saryu, is fully decked up for ‘Divya Deepotsav’, the grand confluence of extraordinary joy, pride and devotion. The sacred culmination of years of anticipation and the faith of crores of Sanatanis is once again set to emerge as the golden radiance of lakhs of diyas, proclaiming the eternal victory of light over darkness and truth and righteousness. Every particle of Awadhpuri is filled with joy and vibrant with devotion today.”
CM extended a warm welcome and greetings at the sacred birthplace of Prabhu Shri Ram to the Vice President, respected ambassadors, high commissioners, and diplomats of various friendly countries, all distinguished guests from India and abroad, and revered saints and devotees of Lord Ram, who are arriving to grace this divine and grand event. He stated, “Your presence at this sacred festival of equality, social harmony, cultural unity and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ will make this Deepotsav historic and unforgettable. Let us become witnesses to this grand festival of dharma, dignity and illumination.”
CM described a diya as not merely an earthen vessel, but an awakening of consciousness. He wrote, “For ages, it has been teaching us that we do not have to fight darkness; we only have to light a single flame and darkness disappears.” CM noted, “Sacred Deepotsav, organized in Shri Ayodhya Dham, the foremost among Saptapuris, to celebrate the joyous arrival of Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ram, offers a living glimpse of this spirit. Today, with Maa Saryu as our witness, we are going to celebrate the 10th Deepotsav in the city dearest to the heart of Prabhu Shri Ram.”
CM also conveyed his sentiments, stating, “Deepotsav of Ayodhya is a grand festival of our faith, self-pride and the renaissance of Sanatan consciousness. When diyas are lit at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, you should also light lamps in your respective homes and courtyards. Let us celebrate the proclamation of Sanatan truth.” Chief Minister wrote, “The flame of a resolve lit on the banks of the holy Saryu in 2017 has today given India’s cultural pride a new identity and prestige on the global stage. This historic decade of Deepotsav in Shri Ayodhya Dham has not remained limited to the illumination of diyas and world records; rather, it has become a golden chapter in the revival of Treta Yuga grandeur in the city of Prabhu Shri Ram, the renaissance of Sanatan culture, and the restoration of the nation’s self-pride. The lakhs of diyas lit at Ram Ki Paidi have not only dispelled darkness but have also kindled a new light of faith, Antyodaya and local self-reliance. This glorious decade stands witness to the fulfillment of that historic resolve which, by transforming centuries of anticipation into a magnificent reality, has once again established Ayodhya with its cultural identity and pride.”
CM appealed, “On this glorious 10th edition of Deepotsav, let us all imbibe the ideals of Prabhu Shri Ram in our lives. Let us work towards establishing a Ram Rajya where the light of development reaches the lives of those standing at the last rung of society and where this eternal flame of faith, social harmony and service continues to illuminate the world for ages to come.”
