Lucknow, October 7

Ayodhya will dazzle in divine grandeur during Deepotsav‑2026, as the holy city transforms into a living canvas of the Ramayana. From major entry routes to the Sarayu banks, artistic decorations, creative installations, and thematic gateways will immerse devotees and visitors in a spectacular spiritual experience. The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has prepared an elaborate plan under which decorative gates, way‑finders, selfie points, and stage setups will highlight the city’s cultural heritage. Pushpak Viman and Ram Rath installations will draw attention, while floating displays on the Sarayu will add unmatched charm to the festivities.

The celebrations will be held from November 6 to 8, with the main Deepotsav on November 7. Around ten major locations will feature themed way‑finders for visitor convenience, while Ram Katha Park and Ram Ki Paidi will each host ten selfie points designed with unique themes and three‑dimensional artistry. These installations will not only enhance the beauty of the venues but also create memorable experiences for pilgrims and tourists. Artistic displays will also line the route from Lata Mangeshkar Chowk to Ram Ki Paidi, adding to the festive aura.

The permanent stage at Ram Katha Park will appear in a new form, equipped with advanced sound and lighting, LED screens, colorful fabrics, floral decorations, rangoli, and seating arrangements. Entry and exit gates will be designed around Indian culture, traditional symbols, and Ramayana episodes. Major highways and the Dharm Path will feature ten grand gateways, each with distinct designs, welcoming devotees arriving from Lucknow, Sultanpur, and Raebareli.

Among the highlights will be a Pushpak Viman installation near Ram Ki Paidi, Ram Rath tableaux, and a grand presentation of Ram Darbar. A Bharat Milap stage will be developed near the helipad area, while flag poles and floating displays on the Sarayu will further elevate the grandeur.

Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh said Deepotsav‑2026 will present Ayodhya’s cultural and spiritual heritage in a creative new form, leaving an unforgettable impression on every visitor. Additional Chief Secretary Amrit Abhijat added that modern creativity will blend with tradition, with decorative gates, selfie points, and lighting showcasing Ramayana episodes, including Lanka Kand, in simple one‑line depictions along city routes.
