Ludhiana, March 11
Members of the BNG (Business Networking Group) of Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) recently undertook an industrial visit to the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of Grasim Industries Limited for their Birla Opus Paints division. The visit provided members with an opportunity to closely witness one of India’s most advanced and fully automated paint manufacturing plants.
The CICU BNG members were warmly welcomed by the Birla Opus team. Participants appreciated the excellent hosting and hospitality extended by the company. Members were highly impressed by the world-class plant maintenance, exceptional cleanliness standards, and the highly automated manufacturing processes adopted at the facility.
During the visit, members toured different sections of the plant and observed the modern production systems in action. They also witnessed the automated packaging and labeling process of paint buckets, showcasing the efficiency and technological advancement implemented in the plant.
On behalf of CICU BNG, Honey Sethi, Captain of BNG and General Secretary of CICU, along with the visiting members, felicitated Manoj Singh, Assistant Vice President – Manufacturing, in recognition of the excellent arrangements and for providing valuable insights into the manufacturing processes of Birla Opus Paints.
Addressing the gathering, Honey Sethi highlighted how CICU continuously works to support its member industries through knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, and industrial visits that help members learn from best practices across leading organizations.
Ajay Bharti, Finance Secretary, spoke about the vision behind creating the BNG platform, which aims to strengthen business relationships among members and encourage collaborative growth through meaningful interactions and industry exposure.
Rachna Jain, Manager at CICU, also addressed the participants and shared detailed information about CICU’s various activities, initiatives, and the multiple verticals through which the organization supports the industrial community.
