Suicide Randhawa Case: Former Minister Laljit Bhullar arrested

Former Cabinet Minister and AAP leader Laljit Singh Bhullar has been taken into police custody following the alleged suicide of District Manager Gagandeep Singh Randhawa. An FIR was lodged late on March 21, 2026 (11:51 PM) at Ranjit Avenue Police Station, naming Bhullar, his father Sukhdev Singh Bhullar and his personal aide Dilbagh Singh. The complaint, filed by Randhawa’s wife Upinder Kaur, invokes Sections 108, 351(3), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. This arrest marks an escalation in the case, casting a spotlight on political accountability and the tragic circumstances surrounding Randhawa’s death.
