CICU & NSDC to collaborate for cridging Industry–Academia gap

A fruitful and visionary meeting was conducted at the CICU Complex with, NSDC Advisor  Sandeep Singh Kaura, New Delhi, to discuss collaborative initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between industry and academia through skill development and industry-oriented training programmes.

During the meeting, both organizations expressed strong optimism towards working together for enhancing employability, practical learning, and entrepreneurship among youth. It was mutually agreed that CICU and NSDC will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for jointly promoting skill development initiatives and industry-driven educational programs.

One of the major highlights of the discussion was CICU’s mission to launch “Skills on Wheels” — a mobile skill development bus that will take practical and employment-oriented training directly to students and rural youth across various regions. He appreciated the visionary initiative of CICU and assured his full support towards the successful execution of the project and future skilling missions.

Speaking on the occasion, Upkar Singh Ahuja President CICU stated that industries today require skilled manpower aligned with modern technologies and practical industrial requirements. He emphasized that the collaboration between CICU and NSDC will create new opportunities for youth, strengthen industry-academia partnerships, and contribute significantly towards nation-building and industrial growth.

JS Bhogal Organising Secretary remarked that CICU has always been committed towards youth empowerment and industrial development through impactful initiatives. He added that the proposed partnership with NSDC will help create a stronger ecosystem for skill development, entrepreneurship, and employment generation in the region.
