Chandigarh, May 23
The National SC-ST Hub, Ludhiana under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in association with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) – North India, will organise an “Entrepreneur Awareness & Special Vendor Development Programme” for existing and aspiring SC-ST entrepreneurs on May 25, 2026 (Monday) from 9:00 AM onwards at CII Northern Region Headquarters, Chandigarh.
The programme aims to promote entrepreneurship, enhance business opportunities and encourage skill development among members of the SC-ST community. The initiative is designed to create awareness about various government schemes, financial assistance mechanisms and business development strategies available for entrepreneurs.
Experts and representatives from several government departments, public sector undertakings, financial institutions and training organisations will participate in the programme to guide attendees and share valuable insights on entrepreneurship and vendor development.
Participants will get an opportunity to interact with officials and professionals from organizations including GeM, SAIL, POWERGRID, FCI, BBMB, SBI, EXIM Bank, MSME DFO Ludhiana, DIC Chandigarh, SC-ST Development Corporation Ltd., ITIs and RSETI, among others. The programme will also provide practical exposure on starting, managing and expanding business ventures.
The event is expected to witness participation from a large number of existing and aspiring SC-ST entrepreneurs from the Chandigarh Tricity region. Organisers expressed confidence that the programme will play a significant role in promoting self-employment, strengthening entrepreneurial capabilities and empowering local communities.
