Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the Bharatiya Janata Party’s historic victory in the Municipal Corporation elections is the result of the tireless hard work, dedication and unwavering trust of the people in party workers. He said that despite the intense heat, party workers carried out extensive public outreach day and night, which resulted in the victory of BJP-supported Mayor and councillors by a huge margin.

The Chief Minister was addressing the grand oath-taking ceremony of newly elected Sonipat Mayor Rajiv Jain and councillors held at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), Murthal.

While attending the programme as Chief Guest, Saini congratulated newly elected Mayor Rajiv Jain and all the councillors.

The Chief Minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a worker-based organisation where every worker gets opportunities from time to time. He said that this democratic tradition distinguishes BJP from other political parties. Emphasising women empowerment, he said that in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the party is providing leadership opportunities to women. Referring to the appointment of Dr. Archana Gupta as State President, he said that promoting women to leadership positions is a priority for the BJP.

Saini assured that the state government and the new Municipal Corporation team will together accelerate the development of Sonipat threefold. He said that rapid work will be undertaken to improve roads, sanitation, drinking water, sewerage, electricity and expansion of modern urban facilities in the city.

Saini called upon Mayor Rajiv Jain and his team to work with transparency, sensitivity and dedication while maintaining the trust of the people. He said that prompt and effective resolution of public grievances should remain their top priority. Divisional Commissioner Sh.
