BJP state president Dr. Rajeev Bindal said that the sweeping victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the recently concluded Panchayati Raj and municipal elections in Himachal Pradesh has made it clear that the people of the state are completely disillusioned and angry with the current Congress government. These election results have sent a direct and clear message to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s Congress government that the public now wants change.

Dr. Bindal stated that the youth, unemployed, farmers, horticulturists, employees, traders, retirees, and every section of society today is troubled by the policies of the Congress government. This public anger was reflected in the election results. In the municipal corporation elections, the BJP won three out of four corporations with a two-thirds majority, while in the district councils, BJP-supported candidates gained widespread support and established dominance.

Expressing gratitude to the people, he said this victory is not just BJP’s but a triumph of public trust, public anger, and public mandate. The people voted in favor of development, good governance, and accountability, while rejecting the failures of the Congress government.

Dr. Bindal made special mention of Sirmaur district, where BJP created history by winning 13 out of 17 district council seats. This is the first time BJP has achieved such success in Sirmaur. Congress was reduced to just three seats, while one seat went to an independent candidate. He said the people of Sirmaur have clearly conveyed that they are not satisfied with the functioning of the current government.

Dr. Bindal further said that BJP’s big victories in areas considered strongholds of senior Congress leaders and ministers prove that the public is no longer willing to accept Congress’s politics. Even in regions Congress considered its bastions, people gave overwhelming support to BJP, answering the arrogance of power.

The BJP president accused the current government of rising corruption, weakening law and order, and stalled development. Hospitals face shortages of doctors, healthcare facilities are suffering, veterinary centers lack staff, the education system is in crisis, and many institutions are on the verge of closure. People are witnessing these conditions, and their impact is clearly visible in the election results.

He said the Congress government has completely failed to fulfill its promises and guarantees to the people. Commitments made to women, youth, farmers, and employees remain unfulfilled. That is why the people gave Congress a strong reply in these elections.

Dr. Bindal asserted that the results of the local body and Panchayati Raj elections have proven that the Congress government has lost public trust and no longer holds the moral right to remain in power. He demanded that the Chief Minister respect public sentiment, resign immediately, and pave the way for fresh assembly elections so that the people can form a new government through their vote.

Dr. Bindal concluded by saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party wholeheartedly thanks the people of the state for their trust and will continue to work among them with the resolve of development, good governance, and public service.
