Puunjab BJP president Kewal Simngh Dhillon has emphasised that the controversy surrounding the Satluj must now come to an end. “Reopening old wounds will do no good to anyone. Punjab has already endured much pain and bloodshed, and healing these wounds takes time. No matter what the religion may be, every Punjabi who was killed must never be forgotten. Let us honor the memory of our people, rather than using it for political clamour. I specially appeal to the media to report on this matter with responsibility and restraint. Punjab’s peace comes first. The Satluj controversy must end now. Reopening these wounds serves no one — Punjab has bled enough, and healing takes time. The killings of PUNJABIS, irrespective of religion, must never be forgotten. Let us honour the memory of our people, not exploit it for noise.
