All India Congress Committee (AICC) Haryana In-charge Sanjay Dutt and Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) President Rao Narender Singh will undertake an extensive organisational tour of five districts in Haryana from July 30 to August 3. During the tour, the two senior leaders will hold meetings with District Congress Committees, Members of Parliament, MLAs, former MPs, former MLAs, former Lok Sabha and Assembly election candidates, Block Congress Presidents, office-bearers of frontal organisations and departments, senior party leaders, and workers to discuss organisational strengthening, upcoming political programmes and public outreach campaigns.
Dutt said that the first phase of the organisational strengthening campaign covering five districts has already been successfully completed. The second phase, from July 30 to August 3, will cover Palwal, Nuh, Rewari, Gurugram, and Faridabad districts. With the completion of this phase, the organisational tour will have covered a total of 10 districts in Haryana by August 3. He further informed that separate meetings will be held with party leaders and workers in the Assembly constituencies of Faridabad, Prithla, Badkhal, Tigaon, Ballabhgarh, and Faridabad NIT in Faridabad district; Hodal, Hathin, and Palwal in Palwal district; Nuh, Punhana, and Ferozepur Jhirka in Nuh district; Rewari, Kosli, and Bawal in Rewari district; and Gurugram, Badshahpur, Sohna, and Pataudi in Gurugram district.
Dutt said that the remaining districts of Haryana will also be covered shortly so that the organisation can be further strengthened and made more active and effective on public issues in every district and Assembly constituency. The Congress Party’s objective is to strengthen the organisation down to the booth level, establish direct communication with party workers, and fully prepare the organisation for upcoming political programmes and public campaigns. This organisational tour is an important step in that direction.
Meanwhile, Singh said that the people of Haryana are today struggling with serious issues such as rising inflation, unemployment, deteriorating law and order, the distress of farmers, the uncertain future of youth, women’s safety, and the growing menace of drug abuse. Every section of society is disappointed and troubled by the anti-people policies of the BJP government, yet the government remains busy with publicity and false claims instead of addressing the people’s real concerns. The Congress Party will vigorously raise these public issues and further strengthen its organisation down to the booth level to make the voice of the people even stronger.
Singh further said that since 2014, the BJP has failed to fulfil even one of its major promises to the people in its entirety. Promises of creating employment, controlling inflation, doubling farmers’ income, eliminating corruption, and providing good governance have turned out to be nothing more than election slogans. Over the past 12 years, the BJP has merely misled the people in the name of development. The time has now come for the people to hold the BJP accountable for its promises and stand firmly with the Congress Party to establish a responsible, sensitive, and people-centric government in Haryana.
