Youth of Haryana to play a pivotal role in building a developed India

At a press conference held today at the Press Club, Chandigarh, Akarsh Dixit, Joint Director and Isha Gupta, Assistant Director of ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’, Haryana, provided detailed information regarding the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027. During the interaction, the officials outlined the objectives, eligibility criteria, selection process, multi-stage structure, and the wide range of opportunities available for the youth of Haryana.

​Joint Director Akarsh Dixit stated that the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 offers a comprehensive national platform for young people to present their ideas, innovation, leadership potential, and creative solutions toward building a developed India. He called upon eligible youth across the state to register at mybharat.gov.in and participate in the Viksit Bharat Quiz. He highlighted that the quiz serves as the first stage of the selection process and will remain open until September 30, 2026.

​He emphasized that the quiz is not merely a competition, but an entry point to a national-level youth leadership platform. Top performers will advance through subsequent rounds, including essay writing, district-level competitions, state-level dialogues, and the national selection process. This initiative aims to identify talented, socially conscious, and dynamic young leaders from across the country.

​National Dialogue to take place in New Delhi in January 2027

​The national event of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 is scheduled to take place in New Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2027. Selected youth will present their ideas and recommendations on a national stage, engaging in discussions on the role of youth in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

​The initiative aims to position young people not as passive spectators, but as active contributors and leaders in the nation-building process. ​The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, with ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ acting as the executing agency. All digital activities—including registrations, the quiz, and essay submissions—are being managed through the ‘Mera Yuva Bharat’ portal.

​Dixit noted that in 2025, the National Youth Festival was restructured in alignment with the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision to create the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue. In the previous edition, over 5 million youth participated in the quiz nationwide, with approximately 3,000 participants selected for the national dialogue.
