SCD Government College Library organizes Exhibition-cum-Discussion on the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur

The Library of SCD Government College Ludhiana, organized a solemn and insightful Exhibition-cum-Discussion to commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru revered as Hind Di Chadar for his unparalleled sacrifice for the protection of religious freedom and human dignity.

The exhibition showcased rare books, manuscripts, curated readings, and visual displays highlighting the life, philosophy, and supreme martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur. The discussion session focused on the Guru’s message of courage, tolerance, and universal brotherhood, inspiring the participants to reflect on his timeless teachings.

The event was graced by Dr. Gursharn Jit Singh Sandhu, Principal, SCD Government College, Ludhiana and Prof. Geetanjali who appreciated the library’s efforts in creating an educational and spiritually enriching environment. He emphasized the importance of revisiting the legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur in contemporary times and encouraged students to draw strength from his ideals.

Faculty members of the college and a large number of students attended the event with great enthusiasm. Librarian Bharpur Singh, Dr. Nidhi Gupta and the library staff coordinated and curated the exhibition, ensuring meaningful engagement for all participants.
