The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) strongly condemned the cowardly attack on the house of renowned Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh’s manager. AAP stated that this attack was not just on an individual, but an attack on citizens’ security and democratic values. Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated, “Just a few days ago, the BJP had invited Diljit Dosanjh to join their party, which he outrightly rejected. Just two days after this refusal, an attack took place at his manager’s house, and Lawrence Bishnoi claimed responsibility for it. This is not a mere coincidence. It clearly shows that the BJP is now using gangsters to intimidate the country’s leading celebrities and businessmen.”
Cheema shared that the same Lawrence Bishnoi who claimed responsibility for the attack is lodged in Sabarmati Central Jail in Gujarat where the BJP government is in power. “It is extremely shameful that a gangster is orchestrating criminal activities while sitting inside a high-security prison. Is this possible without government patronage? The BJP is conspiring to disturb peace in other states with the help of gangsters, and this must be stopped immediately,” he asserted.
The cabinet minister further stated that this incident has completely exposed the BJP’s “anti-Punjab” mentality. The BJP is targeting those Punjabi artists and personalities who are not willing to bow before them. The repeated attacks on celebrities clearly show that the BJP is becoming the biggest threat to democracy and security in the country. He warned the Central Government and the Gujarat administration to immediately stop this bloody game being operated from jails.
