Ludhiana, August 7
BCM Arya School, Lalton, in collaboration with JJS NGO, successfully organised a Mass Plantation Drive under the campaign “Each One Plant One – Food For Everyone.” The event was graced by Kamalpreet Singh, Divisional Range Forest Officer (DRFO), Ludhiana, as the Guest of Honour. The programme was also honoured by the gracious presence of Sh. Vinod Sehgal, Vice President, School Managing Committee; Col. J. R. Jagga, School Manager; Dr. Puneet Gupta, President, JJS NGO; and Bhuvan Gupta, Secretary, JJS NGO. Representatives from the media also marked their presence.
The highlight of the programme was the simultaneous plantation of 108 fruit saplings by students, teachers, school staff, Team JJS NGO volunteers, and the distinguished guests, symbolising unity and a shared commitment towards a greener and healthier future.
The team from JJS NGO also conducted an engaging awareness session, motivating students to adopt eco-friendly practices and emphasising the importance of protecting the environment through collective action.
Kritika Seth, Principal, thanked the distinguished guests, members of the School Managing Committee, JJS NGO, and all the participants for their wholehearted support. She encouraged students to care for the saplings and become responsible guardians of the environment.
The event concluded with the successful plantation of 108 fruit saplings, inspiring everyone to work together towards a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
